Terri S. Winter

Terri Winter has been practicing law for more than 25 years and is a member of the firm’s Real Estate practice group.  Prior to joining the firm, she set up and was the head of the Leasing Department for a fast-growing franchise company during its high-growth years, where she and her team reviewed and negotiated hundreds of commercial leases each year.  

Before going in-house, she was a partner at Moye White in Denver and an Associate at the Denver office of Ballard Spahr. She focuses her practice primarily on the preparation, review and negotiation of commercial and office leases and real estate transactions.  

Over the years, Terri has assisted several growing retail and franchise companies with developing and improving their leasing standards and processes to ensure that the preparation and negotiation of appropriate lease documents meet and promote company goals and facilitate and expedite development processes.  

While at the firm, in addition to continuing to work with franchises, Terri represents landlords who own first-class office properties, industrial parks, shopping centers and medical properties, and has completed lease negotiations with several large national companies. Terri grew up in California and Colorado, attended Carroll College in Waukesha, Wisconsin, where she graduated magna cum laude, and returned to Colorado to attend the University of Denver, College of Law.
